Classical Turkmen Music Days in Canada organized by the Durdy Bayramov Art
Foundation in collaboration with the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Washington, D.C.
In loving memory of artist Durdy Bayramov
The Durdy Bayramov Art Foundation presents the following programs.
Concerts – $30 per ticket
Esteemed pianist and composer Mamed Guseynov together with soprano from the Helikon Opera, Daria Rubanova, sample the oeuvre of famous Turkmen composers, including Bayramov’s dear friend, the legendary Nury Halmamedov, for the first time in Canada.
Attendees will have the unique opportunity to be professionally photographed in traditional Turkmen clothing
At the Durdy Bayramov Art Foundation – 2647 Bayview Avenue:

• Sunday, May 1st at 3:00pm-5:00pm

At the Columbus Centre’s Carrier Gallery – 901 Lawrence Avenue West:

Masterclasses – $60 per participant
Providing musicians of all ages the opportunity to learn alongside their peers as Mamed Guseynov and Daria Rubanova give feedback and work one-on-one with each soloist.

Classes begin with a 45-minute lecture, Cultural Parallels: Turkmen and European Classical Music, to be followed by one-on-one instruction and critique.

Established in 2015, the Durdy Bayramov Art Foundation is a non-profit organization located in Toronto committed to continuing the legacy of acclaimed artist, Durdy Bayramov. The Foundation is dedicated to actively engaging the public through events and educational outreach programs. It is therefore hoped that this concert series, featuring works by legendary Turkmen composer Nury Halmamedov, will serve to provide the Canadian public with a deeper understanding of Turkmenistan’s cultural heritage.
