Here are some messages to our community about these events:

“Hi Ruchan:

Thank you to you and your team for the wonderful weaving program you held at our library on Saturday May 31. Pat told me how much everyone enjoyed weaving with the looms you provided and it was great for our library to offer such a well developed program for adults on a saturday afternoon. I hope the space was suitable and that you found the setup helpful. Thanks to you and to Joseph for bringing this program to our branch,

Gail Ferguson

“I attended yesterday’s weaving workshop at the Gerrard-Ashdale Library and would like to thank you so much for the presentation. I am very interested in the history of textiles and how they reflect the cultures of many countries. I will be sure to explore more about Kilim weaving – and Turkish tradition. Thank you again.

“Hello
I was one if the participants at last week’s Kilim weaving workshop at the Gerard library. Will it be possible to get a picture of how the finished wall hanging looks like? I am enjoying working on the project and would like to be able to finish it but, I will be able to do so only if I see how it’s supposed to look. I should have taken a picture of the sample but I forgot.
Thank you for sharing your craft and a part of your culture. I highly appreciate and enjoy it tremendously!
If you will be offering any additional workshop on Kilim weaving, please let me know as I am very interested.
Looking forward to receive the picture.
Thank you!
Mary Jane”
