Speech by MP Marc Adler at the International Children and Youth Day Festival on May 3rd, 2014 at Nathan Phillips Square

“I am Marc Adler. I am the member of Parliament for the riding of York Centre. I am very honoured and pleased to be here today . This is the most Canadian of all events where different ethnic groups get together and they showcase their cultures, their ethnicities, their religions to the rest of the people of Toronto and Canada . To be proud of where people come from is the most Canadian of all things. And I am so happy to be here. I want to congratulate the Turkish community for organizing this event. This is so important so that we all recognize that, yes we all different but we are also proud of where we come from, most important at the end of the day, we are all proud Canadians.”
